took at look at Barak's video project regarding forms on http://rassak.com/forms/ (user: forms password: rassak)
- thinks it's incredible for presentation purposes - the educators I've spoken with don't realize how much paperwork they're dealing with so they're sense is that there's not enough volume and frequency to justify a new system
  - what your project shows is that, in fact, they do!
- I also like the government section because I'll be meeting with some Tribal people at the beginning of Aug. and I want to show them how other govmt agencies are handling their documents and how much easier it can be for them
- will be meeting with my client who is the charter school specialist tonight - I sent him the link and will talk with him about it
(Greg) - as you're dealing with people and agencies, think about if the format that Barak has put together would make sense as a way of documenting current practices from the viewpoints of the teacher or nurse AND from the viewpoint of those filling out the forms - then we can give Barak some feedback and perhaps make a youtube for forms and the processes around them
(Barak) - I have a good contact with Charter Schools - a senior person in the Northern CA Charter Schools Association - Nick Driver
- he'll be in China for the Olympics
(Greg) - Martin, I'd like to understand this from a technical perspective as far as knowing what we can do to support the forms and using SRs or wikispaces or other things
(Martin) - I'll discuss that with Saq when he's here
will be shooting video with Sabrina today
- we'll use what works - get as much different footage as possible and then piece it together later

(Greg) - wondering if tiddlyweb might be a better backend than wikispaces when we're prototyping these forms
(Martin) - tiddlyweb is kind of an implementation looking for a problem - Chris is at a point now where he'd like something real to use with it to make sure it's actually solving a problem, so maybe it's worth looking into even if we eventually decide not to use it because then Chris could hone his development on it
(Greg) - TW with the storage server we're talking about might make it possible for people to have the best of both worlds
- hand bake things when they want
- or use templates when they don't want to start from scratch

I received some info from Eric today so I'll be able to go forward
spoke with Saq briefly last week but hope to spend more time with him when he comes back in a week or two
I'd like to meet with both Saq and Greg when Greg is in London on Sunday, Aug. 3rd

(Greg) - the primary thing I'd like to talk about at that time

making sure the TW support for the kinds of forms that Heather is doing for UM Academy will be feasible
- want to make sure we have a clear understanding of how we're doing that and how we're supporting it

I'll be in London at the end of August and then in Spain for at least 10 months
(Greg) - there might be occasion for you to meet with Martin or Saq and then go more in depth from the user's perspective and where TW might better position itself
- TW solves a number of problems that people don't realize that they have and there's no marketing behind it so you may have some ideas on that
